Transactions
View and manage all your payments in one place.
Accessing transactions
Click Transactions in the dashboard sidebar to see all payments received by your Axle account.
Transaction list
The transactions page displays a table with:
Column details
- Date - When the payment was processed
- Amount - Payment amount and currency (e.g., $10.00 USD)
- Customer - Email address of the customer (if provided)
- Product - The product title from your AxleButton
- Status - Payment status (Succeeded, Failed, Pending, Refunded)
- Actions - View details or manage the transaction
Payment statuses
- Succeeded - Payment completed and funds are being transferred to your Stripe account
- Failed - Payment was declined or not completed
- Pending - Payment is processing (usually completes within seconds)
- Refunded - Payment was refunded back to the customer
Viewing details
Click on any transaction to see:
- Full payment amount
- Complete customer email
- Product title and description
- Timestamp (exact date and time)
- Stripe transaction ID
- Payment method (card type, last 4 digits)
- Current status
Filtering and searching
Use the search and filter options to find specific transactions:
- Search by email - Find all payments from a specific customer
- Search by product - Find all payments for a specific product
- Filter by status - Show only succeeded, failed, or refunded payments
- Date range - View transactions from a specific time period
Refunding payments
To refund a transaction:
- Click on the transaction details
- Look for the Refund button (only available for succeeded payments)
- Choose the refund amount (full or partial)
- Confirm the refund
The refund will be processed immediately and returned to the customer's original payment method. The transaction status will update to Refunded.
Refunds typically appear in the customer's bank account within 3-5 business days, depending on their bank.
Exporting data
You can export your transaction data for accounting or analysis:
- Go to the Transactions page
- Click Export (appears near the top of the table)
- Choose your format (CSV or PDF)
- The file will download to your computer
Exported data includes all transaction details for the selected date range.
Understanding revenue
Your Total Revenue shown at the top reflects:
- All successful payments received
- Minus any refunds issued
- Does NOT include Stripe processing fees (those are deducted by Stripe)
Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction in the US. Axle does not charge any additional per-transaction fees.
Troubleshooting
Transaction not showing up
Transactions can take 30 seconds to 1 minute to appear after payment. If it doesn't show:
- Refresh the page
- Check that the payment actually succeeded in the Stripe checkout
- Verify your account is active (not paused)
Missing transactions
If you're missing expected transactions:
- Check the date range filter
- Search by customer email or product name
- Check for failed payments in the status filter
